Apply for Help and Assistance
Want Help? The Idaho Department of Commerce and its partners (see section Program Partners for list) offers help and assistance to small businesses interested in learning more or applying for federal R&D grant proposals - with potential for commercialization. Services include helping to determine the viability of submitting a proposal; assisting in the development of superior proposals; helping to fine tune business and commercialization strategies; and assessing the final submission package.
Finding a Topic
Review the federal agencies’ most recent federal grant topics by linking to their topic indexes from the Agency Topic Areas section of this Web site. Identify one or more research topics that are relevant to your technology or technical solution. Note that while the agencies only accept proposals during certain times of the year, topic areas typically do not change drastically from one year to the next, and it is never too early to begin preparing for future submission dates. Record the agency and topic title that is relevant to your technology in order to provide this information to your Idaho Department of Commerce representative.
Two Easy Steps
Complete the following steps in order to apply for help and assistance through the Idaho Department of Commerce.
