The Northwest Community Development Institute (NWCDI)

Exciting News for Community and Economic Development Practitioners!

The Northwest Community Development Institute (NWCDI) training is available in Boise July 20-24, 2009 in Boise.

Since 1999, the NWCDI has provided training to development professionals representing communities of all sizes who want to build their knowledge, skills and abilities in the community development field.

The program is part of a national network of community development institutes endorsed by the Community Development Council, a non-profit board that oversees the program.

Training includes team building strategies, leadership development, fundraising, business retention and expansion, business attraction and diversification, entrepreneurial development, land use planning, growth management, strategic planning and much more. Years one, two and three run simultaneously through the week. A post-graduate session is also available for those who have completed the three year program and want to continue their formal education. These classes provide more in-depth study and focus on particular issues and topics impacting communities.

Professional Certification Available

Participants can receive a Professional Community and Economic Development Certification (PCED) and Continuing Education Units by attending this affordable and accessible training program.
