Grant Administration

To help grantees administer their grants, Idaho Department of Commerce created the Idaho Community Development Block Grant Administration Manual. This handbook contains all of the forms and guidelines essential for carrying out a successful Idaho Community Development Block Grant project and is available for download by chapter, in an acrobat pdf format. Click here for the latest version of the Acrobat Reader software. Also available on this website are Word and Excel versions of the most commonly used ICDBG administrative forms.

Before the department allows an Idaho Community Development Block Grant project to begin, a city or county must demonstrate that a certified Idaho Community Development Block Grant Administrator will be under contract or on staff to manage the day-to-day activities associated with the grant. All of Idaho's community development districts and a number of private consultants are available to assist communities with their grant administration functions.

Anyone wishing to become an Idaho Community Development Block Grant Certified Administrator may do so by taking the certification exam. To make an appointment to take the certification exam please email Gwynn Owen or call 334-2650 ext 2138.
