Idaho Trade Mission to China 2012

04/14/12 - 04/21/12

Idaho Trade Mission to China 2012

April 14-21, 2012

Governor Otter will lead a delegation of Idaho companies to China for a trade mission in April. High level meetings will be arranged for these companies as they visit the cities of Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing. Trade missions provide a support structure for participant companies in pre-qualification of appointments with key industry and government officials, receptions, comprehensive logistical arrangements and detailed market, cultural and economic preparation.

The State of Idaho runs a full time trade office in China under the management of Mr. Xu Fang. The Governor’s last trade mission to China was in June of 2010 and demand has remained high among Idaho companies for China export assistance leading to this return visit. Idaho exports to this market totaled more than $650 million in 2010 and stood as our 5th highest global trading partner.
