Idaho is one of the most innovative states in the nation, consistently ranking 2nd in patents issued (per capita) by the U.S. Patent Trademark Office.

Idaho is also one of a handful of states graded an “A” for its “entrepreneurial energy,” according to the 2007 CFED Report Card for the States.

Private industry drives this innovation, and is supported by universities and the Idaho National Lab.
