Idaho Companies Make Inc. List

9/3/2008
More than a dozen Idaho companies landed on the annual Inc. 5000 list for the country’s fastest-growing privately-held firms.

Seventeen Idaho companies made the list – and one California company made the top 500 list with a special note for its Idaho connection. Companies were ranked according to their percent growth in revenue from 2004 through 2007.

Two Boise companies made the top 1000 – PalmerCash.com (513) and M2M Communications (692).

Other Idaho companies on the list are: Mullen Crane & Transport, Soda Springs (1334); B&B Builders, Rigby (1588); North Wind, Idaho Falls (1907); Economic Modeling Specialists, Moscow (1238); Bodybuilding.com, Boise (2148); Pita Pit, Coeur d’Alene (2239); Birch Creek Millwork, Terreton (3009); Petra, Meridian (3279); TitleOne, Boise (3846); Sloan Security Fencing, Boise (3990); Business Psychology Associates, Boise (4004); Alloway Electric, Garden City (4054); Phoenix Lumber, Blackfoot (4231); CD World, Idaho Falls (4747); Employers Resource Management Company, Boise (4925).

A Santa Ana, Calif.-based company, Synoptek, ranked 131 on the list and was noted for purchasing Boise’s The Network Group earlier this year. The magazine said the firm earlier this year bought the company in Boise, “often listed as one of the best places to live, to provide employees with the choice to work in a more affordable, family-friendly location.” Synoptek showed a 1,633 percent growth.

According to Inc, to qualify for the list, company revenue had to be at least $200,000 in 2004 and $2 million in 2007.

The Inc. 5000 is an expansion of the annual Inc. 500, which has been published since 1982. Read the full article at www.inc.com.
